1/2 Week RAGBRAI & BANDIT RIDERS

This is a 5 day - 4 night cycling event that we offer to young adults who want to experience RAGBRAI. 

*** this could also act as a 1/2 week rider option to ROTR riders ***

RAGBRAI is the oldest, largest and longest multiday recreational bicycle touring event in the world and we are excited to be able to offer a chartered service, catered to younger adults through BANDITS.

BANDITS is teaming up with TEAM ROTR and they will help with logistics, guides and support the BANDITS riders.

BANDTS and TEAM ROTR will provide all transportation, dinner and lunch meals, water, gatorade, full support, host homes, organization and more for they younger BANDIT riders. 

The BANDITS riders will have their own bus and suport team and will follow the ROTR bus and TEAM ROTR for part of the week. 

TEAM ROTR will provide, meals, encouragement, guides and help support and look after the BANDIT riders on route and in camp. 

The BANDIT bus has their own shower system, internal A.C., bathroom, 10 comfortable bunks for sleeping inside the bus but only capacity for 16 riders.

TENATIVE ROUTE: (Option #1) - very difficult routes, elevation but lots of excitement and the beginning of the route

Saturday July 21 - Travel to Sioux City

Sunday July 22 - Ride from Sioux City to Storm Lake (this will be a super challenging day)

Monday July 23 - Ride from Storm Lake Carroll

Tuesday July 24 - Ride from Carroll to Ames

Wednesday July 25 - Either straight home or ride 1/2 day and then home

COST:

The fee is $450 and this includes transportation, bike transportation, two meals per day, snacks, water, Gatorade, support vehicle, bike repair kit, team t-shirts, team jersey, host home, planning and more.

TENATIVE ROUTE: (Option #2) - average routes & elevation, much less excitement and lower numbers but get to cross the finish line.

Wednesday July 25 - Meet TEAM ROTR in Des Moines camp

Thursday July 26 - Ride from Des Moines to Tama-Toledo

Friday July 27 - Ride from Tama-Toledo to Coralville

Saturday July 28 - Ride from Coralville to Davenport

Sunday July 29 - Home
