2022 RAGBRAI (TEAM ROTR 10th Annual)

We are a 35 person team with a 5 person support team. The support team is broken into two specific teams: 1) a bus driver and a navigator and 2) a chase team – a truck and trailer driver, a navigator and a cook. The bus opens each day at 8:00am and leaves camp each day by 8:30am. The bus will meet the riders at the mid-town where the support staff will have lunch cooked, cold water, Gatorade, beer and the AC running. Riders can stop or just keep going… totally up to you. 

With TEAM ROTR our riders go at their own pace and on their own schedule. The truck crew will pack up camp and then take all the camping gear from the host town and the next host town. This crew’s objective is to butter up the hosts, have the beer, Gatorade and water cold and camp set-up started. They will also prepare the meal for the night or shag riders off the route if lost, can’t finish or if you wreck.

We typically stay at homes but we are equipped to stay in the middle of field if needed. We have a shower on the outside of the bus, a generator, bathroom, full bar, AC and more on the bus. We are a crew that likes to have fun but yet are not TOO wild. You can do your own thing or hang with the team. We have those that party all night and then sleep-in the next morning --- and we have those that get up early and crank hard “like it is a race” ---- and most just take it easy and try to be back to camp around 3pm but make lots of stops on the route.

We have cycling skill levels from advanced riders to beginners with most of the riders being slightly above average. We have ages from 21 years old to 80+. We like to have a few days where we all begin the day as a team but we don’t expect everyone to stick together. We also have one night of the week that we all go out to dinner and/or party as a team. There are several that go out EVERY night to the bands, meet up with other team parties and there are those that stay back every night at camp and chill.

Bottom line is that we are a NO DRAMA team. We want riders that are laid back and can deal with any type of situation (some nights people just don’t go to bed, sometimes we end up crashed in the bus b/c of weather)…. you just need to be able to deal with any situation. We want riders that are fun yet those that are respectful to others in the team.

This will be our 10th year as a “REAL” RAGBRAI team which is young team, but we are definitely becoming a well-known team.

We are based out of Rochester, Minnesota but we have riders that come from all over the country and beyond... including: Oregon, Iowa, Wisconsin, New Mexico, Seattle, Texas, California, Illinois, Kentucky, Missouri, Virginia, Canada and Ireland.

We are organized by a team committee and all the planning is done for you. All you do is just show up with your bike and tote of belongings and get on the bus and all is taken care of for you.

COST:

The fee is $650 and this includes transportation, bike transportation, two meals per day, snacks, water, Gatorade, support vehicle, bike repair kit, team t-shirts, host home planning, all organization and more.

EARLY BIRD DISCOUNT:

Full payment by December 31st, 2021 = ($100 discount) -- $550

Deposit ($300) by December 31st, 2021 = ($50 discount) -- $600
