About the Event

About this event

Bust  up those "Summertime Blues" and come down to cruise around the  beautiful lakes of Albert Lea, Minnesota. As the hometown of rock-n-roll  icon, Eddie Cochran, as well as Marian Ross, (also known as Mrs. C from  Happy Days), Albert Lea knows how to rock! Riders can choose from one  of three different routes—10, 30, or 50 miles—of SAG-supported,  "rolling" fun around our lakes and community. All three courses hug  picturesque lake shores and offer a variety of beautiful southern  Minnesota scenery. There's a great chance you’ll spot one of the many  eagles, pelicans, and countless other birds and wildlife that live in  the area and love the local lakes.

We have food stops along the  route and great music lined up for all ages to enjoy. So come along with  us for a fun, family-friendly ride, great tunes, and a rockin' good  time!

Enjoy 10-, 30-, or 50-mile route options: The  tour starts and ends at Edgewater Park in Albert Lea, MN. Check-in  opens at 8:00 a.m. and closes at 10:00 a.m. If you are riding the  50-mile route, please start no later than 9:00 a.m. Three courses are  designed to offer the most scenic and pleasant routes. Riders enjoy food  and drink at rest stops on each course.

Event day routes are still being finalized. Links soon!

Helmets are required: Protect your melon! Safe cycling to all Rock-n-Roll the Lakes riders!

Disclaimer: Rock-n-Roll  the Lakes is a fundraiser for the Albert Lea Area Cyclists and the  Bicycle Alliance of Minnesota. All fees are non-refundable. Registration  transfers are not available. This ride is a rain-or-shine event.

Routes subject to change due to construction or other necessary adjustments.

Please RSVP and if we have enough riders we will take the bus.
